National Security Analyst, Morgan Ortagus to be Named as Spokeswoman for the State Department
National security analyst Morgan Ortagus, a former diplomat and active U.S. Naval Reserve officer, will become a spokeswoman for the new State Department.
According to the source, the last week National security analyst had been recommended for the position and she had been examined for it. Officials also said that Ortagus had been recently considered for the position of an on-camera spokeswoman at the Pentagon.
Morgan Ortagus was Fox News and Fox Business as a contributor but ran away last week from that position when her name linked to the State Department position as Spokeswoman. Ortagus is expected to replace Heather Nauert, a former Fox News anchor who was nominated in December to succeed Nikki Haley as ambassador to the United Nations.
